Snowy Range Engagement

Updated: Feb 15

Casey and I first met my senior year of school when I started working at Papa Murphy’s. To start, we knew of each other before due to one of my best friends being his cousin. We even went to the same elementary school. He was two grades above me. He moved away to Bismarck, North Dakota when he was in the fourth grade. He stayed in Bismarck for a few years before moving back to Casper when he was in high school. He even moved into the same neighborhood as me. Two blocks away exactly. We started working together at Papa Murphy’s where he was my supervisor and I was a pain in his butt. We constantly picked at each other. But we became close friends over a few months. It eventually turned into more shortly after. For the first two years, we had to do distance, but somehow we stuck it out because our love for one another was greater than the miles between us. I then transferred to the University of Wyoming to continue my education and to close the distance between us. We lived together and continued dating for the next year. We decided to add a member to our little family, and that is when we got our first pup, Roxy. A few short months later in late July, I went on a week-long trip to California with one of my best friends. The day after I got back from my trip we attended Casey’s family reunion. After eating lunch it was time to take family pictures. Each family took their turn. When it was Casey’s family’s turn they made sure I was included. And before the pictures were taken everyone moved from the cameras view until it was just Casey and I. That is when Casey got down on one knee and professed his love for me in front of his entire family. I, of course, said yes. The date of the proposal was August 6th, 2017.
